With the Millennials and the health conscious concern in mind, the 6 fruity sparkling Juscool flavours were launched with a unique product offering – 25 % less sugar & made with real fruit juice. In addition, two premium lines – Juscoffee & Justea were launched to cater to coffee & tea lovers. In the same light, we have also introduced Pureté premium natural mineral water – sourced from the finest natural springs on the Italian Alps to meet growing market demands.

2016

Ever the forefront of innovation, 2016 saw the launch of pH Infinity Nano-Artesian Alkaline Water produced in Singapore, as well as Oceanic drink, a unique refreshing drink formulated from Australian sea salt water and real fruit juice. Riding on the rising demands for natural juice beverages, Yeo’s 100% Coconut Water was launched in Singapore.

In line with its heritage of producing popular Asian drinks, Yeo’s launched a new range of Soy drinks with assorted flavours to meet an increasingly health-conscious demographic.

2008

A range of beverages endorsed by the Health Promotion Board were developed to address customers’ needs for healthier choices.

2005

H-TWO-O isotonic drink was awarded the Reader’s Digest Super Brand Gold award for the sports/ energy drinks category.

It has also won the Gold award for Readers’ Digest Super Brand in the soft drink category.

2003

Yeo’s launched a new range of beverage under the Justea brand, featuring exciting refreshing tea flavours with vibrant packaging look. To target the young generation, a new youthful hip Yeo’s logo was created.

2000

Year 2000 marks a historic milestone in the history of Yeo Hiap Seng: our 100th anniversary.

With consumers’ greater interest in wellness, fortified water was developed under the Pink dolphin brand.

Yeo’s won top honours at SIAL 2000 (Salon International de L’Alimentation) in Paris for its Pink Dolphin and Ice Green Tea beverage.

Relocation of operations in the two previous factory sites at Dunearn Road and Bukit Timah road to Senoko Way.

Achieved a milestone for grossing over 5 billion Yeo’s Tetra brik packets sold in Singapore and Malaysia.

1997

YHS was the first player in the market to launch a range of MSG free instant noodles under the Yeo’s brand. This is an expansion to its exciting Cintan instant noodles range so as to secure a bigger market share.

1996

The year in review was significant for YHS as it also marked the launch of several new products, a new packaging series and an innovation in marketing.

This new range comprises of the popular Yeo’s Soy drink in an innovative Polyethylene bottle format that helps lock in full flavor of the drink, manufactured using the UHT process, the drink stays fresh and tasty, with a longer shelf life.

A range of cooling teas was introduced to address the needs of a more healthy population.

1995

Far East Organization acquired a majority stake in YHS. The company entered into another engine of growth into property development. A new vision was set for YHS to become a global food & beverage company of excellence, and to transform itself to become a market driven business. A new Yeo’s logo was unveiled, together with a refreshed packaging change for its Asian drinks range.

At YHS, quality and safety have traditionally been given top priority. The Group’s manufacturing plants are equipped with the latest in packaging technology, efficient production methods and the Company has won awards for the maintenance of stringent production standards. As YHS ventures further abroad, the Group recognises that high quality standards and plant efficiency will continue to be crucial.

Advanced Packaging and Efficient Production Technology

In this regard, the Company has adopted and implemented an international model of quality assurance programme – the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programme.

This is a systematic and preventive programme aimed at managing and controlling all potential hazards in the food manufacturing process right from receipt of raw materials through preparation and processing to packing and storage. Periodic quality audits of the HACCP system are also conducted to verify its effectiveness.

Since its beginnings, Yeo’s expansion had extended worldwide. A sales record of two billion Tetra Pak drinks was achieved.

1983

As the pioneer in Tetra Pak drinks, Yeo’s Singapore & Malaysia became the first in Southeast Asia to have reached the sales of one billion packs.

1981

Product Innovation was the key directive of the year with new product line extension spanning from a range of curry sauces, culinary sauces and other Chinese specialty food items. On top of being the top Asian beverages producer, Yeo’s also ventured into the manufacturing and bottling of soft drinks.

Yeo’s expansion had progressed rapidly throughout the region, propelling growth in both local and oversea markets.

The level of awareness of Yeo’s brand have reached a new height.

1978

Yeo Hiap Seng was one of the largest and most modern food processing companies in Asia.

It produced a wide range of canned and processed foods, condiments and sauces from selected ingredients according to gourmet-tested recipes.

Yeo Hiap Seng’s varied food products range from canned seafood to piquant curries, sauces and delectable oriental food.

Tested recipes, quality ingredients and strict quality control account for the increasing demand for Yeo Hiap Seng products.

Yeo Hiap Seng (Malaysia) Berhad was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.

1972

Yeo Hiap Seng (Malaysia) factory was established and started the bottling of Yeo’s Soy drink, Chrysanthemum Tea and Sugar cane drink.

1971

First to develop the can pack for Asian drinks and is one of the largest and most developed food canners in Asia.

Yeo Hiap Seng reached an exciting milestone in its corporate history as it became a publicly listed company on the Stock Exchange of Singapore.

By the late 1960s, Yeo’s had begun to expand into other food category such as chilli sauces and instant noodles on top of its Asian drinks product portfolio & canned food.

It began to make inroads to new markets such as Hong Kong, U.S. and Europe.

Yeo Hiap Seng Canning & Sauce Factory Private Limited was privatised as business volume grew rapidly.

A champion of product innovation, Yeo Hiap Seng pioneered the bottling of its hugely successful and instantly recognizable Soy Bean Milk and Chrysanthemum Tea drinks.

Yeo’s was the first company to introduce canned curry chicken, creating a buzz among consumers who welcomed the convenience of a complete meal prepared in just minutes.

As business thrived in the mainland, the Yeo family made the pivotal decision to move the business to Singapore, armed with a capital of $150 to set up the Yeo Hiap Seng Sauce Factory.

Yeo Hiap Seng was established by its founder, Mr Yeo Keng Lian, as a little shop peddling its home-made soy sauce in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, China.
